    If you get a chance to visit the Museum of Auschwitz, do it. Quinn’s right, it is good to remember the people, it is so sad and you will never forget it.

    ... This time we were assigned to a suite with a sitting area and separate bed room. We went for an hour hike when we arrived and then enjoyed a drink on the patio with a great view of the surrounding mountains and the valley. To night was a group dinner - a fantastic sauerkraut soup and a steak dinner followed by an hour long performance of songs and dance of the region performed by a local group.     Anyone who has had the pleasure to visit this beautiful park and castle will understand my very exclamation. This place is magical and eerie. When we first moved to the Czech Republic we lived in the town Ostrava but every weekend we travelled around visiting the countryside. This was one of our 'go-tos'.     ... tried the kolonial hotel, but it was full. They pointed me to a pension though, which pointed me to another one, which thankfully had a room for me. I had a pork / mushroom crepe for dinner, and then took a shower and washed all my stuff, using one of the ortliebs as a washing machine drum (thanks for the tip Pauline, works wonders).
