So relaxing...

I stayed at Penzion Mayer for two nights, but could have easily stayed longer. It is in a gogeous location - very peaceful. Breakfast outside each morning was an absolute delight. (it was lovely weather, but there was the option of eating in the dining room if preferred). The room was very spacious and airy, with a small balcony. The bathroom was quite large. Everything was very clean. Oh, and added bonus - BBC world was a informative change from the normal cable tv available at hotels.

Charming place to stay! Wonderful food and pleasant, personal but not obtrusive service - makes one feel your arrival has been anticipated. Our departure was very early in the AM but we were treated to personal sacks of delicious thick sandwiches, fruits and beverage to acomodate us on our journey - a very thoughful touch!
Fantastic hotel

We have just returned from a two night stay at Pension Meyer, the Manager was very helpful and went out of his way to recommend what we should do. The room was huge compared to stardard hotels in Slovenia and there was a nice balcany and it was spoteless clean. Highly recommended. The restaraunt in the Hotel is excellent as well.

This place was the most beautiful and best places I have ever stayed at! The manager was brilliant - we wanted to go to Vintgar Gorge and order a taxi - he offered to drive us himself as he was going that way. Everyone was friendly, the breakfast was supurb. Our room was large with a balcony and a view over the lake. The price was also excellant. I would recommend that anybody stay here - you won't be dissapointed.

We have just spent the Christmas long weekend here and had a wonderful stay. The place has so much character, is clean and the staff are friendly and helpful. AND the restaurant is just great....we had an amazing Christmas eve dinner here! I'd definitely stay here again.
Absolute bargain!

Stayed with husband and toddler - no probs in getting a travel cot put in room which was big enough to accommodate it. Clean rooms, good location (10 mins walk to lake and town), great restaurant - big advantage was we could put the child alarm on and go down for a lovely dinner. Breakfast was good too. All in all - a fraction of the price of equivalent hotels.

stayed in the pezion mayer may 2005 with my husband absoloutly delighted with the hotel rooms were spacious very clean and with lovely furniture. my husband was ill on arrival and the hotels owner helped me to obtain medical help for him which we both greatly appreciated.
all the staff were very helpful and attentive. we booked half boardthe breakfasts are delicious and with thomsons that means you only have a limited choice of your main course at the evening meal but if theres nothing that appeals to you they are happy to give you something you like. the restaurant which has an excellant reputation locally is open to the public and can get very busy so you may have to wait for a table at busy times but thats not a problem because you are in such beautiful surroundings. this was our first time in slovenia but we enjoyed it so much we came home and booked to go again in 2006 its such a lovely country and lake bled is so beautiful all in all one of the best weeks we have had anywhere cant rate it highly enough.

Lovely place to stay.Clean,immaculately furnished room.Short walk from the lake.Good breakfast.
