We were up and out of the hotel at 7:00 AM on our way to Krakow, Poland.

We crossed over the boarder into Slovakia, and stopped for a coffee break. Back on the bus we continued our journey, stopping for lunch around mid-day.Before leaving Slovakia for Poland, we stopped for a photo opportunity at the Orava Castle, which is situated on a high rock above the Orava River in the village of Oravský Podzámok, Slovakia.

... again 5kms before Cadca, with no stopping until nightfall. I could have stopped in Cadca and spent the night there but I had to make more progress so I took the road leading to the polish border, and after another 15kms, in the town of Skalite, around 19:30, in the rain, started looking for a pension. ... one hour late anyways, and checked the restaurants around. Sure thing two thirds of them were pizzerias, and absolutely zero Slovak food place. What a shame. The few traditional Slovak things I sampled at the Flagship restaurant in Bratislava were amazing. In Trencin I settled for a "normal" place and had mahi mahi fish. The road is not quite as good on the Polish side, but not bad either. Long straights take us down through the forest to the busy holiday resort town of Zakopane. It's a slow drag through but finally we are back on fast tarmac and in no time we arrive back in Slovakia.
