... On route to a spot we passed a truck selling 'Isle of Man' ice-cream from happy cows so we tried one (to share) and I have to admit it was probably the nicest ice-cream I have had the pleasure of eating in a long time, in particular the rum and raisin and vanilla.

To the race itself, Vern has said it was a highlight for him and something he would like to come back to. Our spot was near the start finish line and he would have liked more time to go around ...

... and headed back. Bryan beat me by a half hour, and we decided to rug up and take the electric tram to Laxey and change for The Snaefell electric railway. Passed the vantage point of Bungalow, then reached the summit..... Hot cuppa in order! Blowing a gale. Saw bikes on the mountain road (visitors). Headed back to Laxey, walked around there and saw the water wheel, then home. Dinner, then bed - light till ...

All appears to be ok and they have a little time before the first race this afternoon so they have both gone to try and get a little sleep..this for Rich not being a problem as he can as most people know can sleep The weather is brilliant today and there have been no delays so far and no crashes, we are passing time now before going up to the start line. After a few photos around Port St Mary I headed off down a small road heading West and finally ended up in a almost empty car park overlooking a two wonderful islands called "Calf of Man".

Looking out towards these islands and beyond reminded me of somewhere along the wonderful coastline of Chile in South America and somehow I was expecting to see a pod of Dolphins or a group of Whales but that was not to be. ...
