    Today is Independence Day, a public
    holiday and we are expecting the beach to get very busy. Instead we
    had thunder and lightning and torrential rain. We got one inch of
    rain in the first 10 minutes which meant we had small logs and shoes
    floating past the door but we did get cool. It ended up being wet
    most of the day . At its worst we were 6 inches deep in water.
