Day 10

An 8:20 start this morning with the weather forecast not looking too good.

We wound our way through the city to the outskirts with the sun shining and Saturday morning traffic not too heavy. We had 350km to cover today to our destination of Stary Smikovec, Slovakia.

High above the alpines amongst the clouds, I gaze upon the pine trees and valley towns. ... time as we saved ourselves areund 7zloty (which is actually just under 2 but every penny helps and all that...). When we got to the top of the mountain, we found a toboggan, which was 7zloty (exactly why the card came in so handy), and just had to have a go...it was epic! Literally so so fun! It was essentially a metal tube, and you sat on a little plastic cart with a lever you could push/pull to go faster/slower. The first bend I decided to ...

... scenery into a 'selfie' by Jasmin. She has lived in Beijing and, as we trek back, furnishes me with an abundance of useful information about China. For example, deodorant is neither available nor in use! Hm... Hopefully the pictures below will convince Tero and others to make a stop here soon. You may even hear the Polish version of Livin' on a Prayer on the way ...
