... him on his quest. Regrettably, he never arrived. On our way back, we had a quick peek in the cemetery. Almost every grave in Poprad and Spissky Podhradie had either fresh flowers or wreaths on them. I suspect it is because the day of the dead (November 1st) was fast approaching at this point. The following day, we boarded a bus to head to Zakopane, which is a Polish village located in the Tatra Mountains. To say this place is adorable would be a huge understatement.

In churches, in the place where in other countries the photo of the current pope would hang, here there is usually still a picture of JPII. So yes, the pope is still Polish, and he is theirs. More on that later.

So remember that part about "the highest town in Poland?" Yeah, well, Anna the guide wasn't kidding. I ...

Zakopane is like Polish diamond in mountains, that’s why many Polish people spend their free time here. They come long way, even only for a weekend, to breathe the fresh air and walk/hike/climb/sky in one of the most beautiful place in Poland. The mountain resort is only couple of hours from Cracow so if you ...
