... He couldn't have been more obliging. He was able to advise us on a number of options on touring the Island and recommended that the most relaxing way was to hire a taxi for the day. Even kindly arranged for a taxi driver called Massimo in his beautiful convertible Lancia and advised to take us around the island. So impressed were we that we all had a cappuccino before heading off for the day. We first went to Anacapri the highest point on the isle of capri where we took ...

The mountain has a name ...

They tell us they don't usually allow access, we offered to pay, still no was the answer. He tells us there is a way down, but he doesn't recommend using the steps, too dangerous. At a roadside cafe, we ask the girl about the steps, and she says go ahead, people go down all the time. You have to climb over the guardrail to start, and it ...

... bits we were keeping like electrical gadgets and costumes etc. checked in to the hotel, which is stunning and looks right over the bay of Naples to vesuvius. Decided we would get rid of the car today rather than stress about it tomorrow. Went to reception and asked if they knew of any scrap yards. We got approx 100 questions on why we would drive to naples just to scrap the car, luckily we showed some photos on Duncs ...
