... staying on the outskirts tonight. The scenery had got very pretty again and we had to stop at a Walmart for food and other bits and pieces. We were still hopeful of arriving in daylight but it was getting darker and darker as we got nearer.
Guess what? Yes we arrived in the dark again!

The weather has been absolutely gorgeous today, with hot sun and bright blue skies. Perfect.
Sashaying through the expensive part of town, we saw parks, heard about the origin of the phrase 'Sugar Daddy' before getting to the Palace of Fine Arts which was built for the 1915 Panama-Pacific Exposition in order to exhibit works of art presented there. ... New Zealand, Fiji, and Australia. To challenge myself to keep making good food choices and,yes, to keep cooking while traveling. To keep sleeping and waking up on a regular schedule. ... 4 interesting bars. We started out at a place that was far too expensive for a hostel pub crawl and I was just able to finish my $12 old fashioned before we had to leave for the next bar. From then on I stuck to beer and had a great time with everyone exploring the San Fran nightlife.ook the ferry back, it was a beautiful ride. Bike back to the shop. Finally found it. Went to dinner on Belden with Matt. Now going to pub crawl. Tomorrow Alcatraz! Hope they don't lock me ...
... and colourful Victorian architecture as we rounded the bay towards the Golden Gate Bridge. I like the fact that no two buildings are the same here making it such an attractive place.
We knew San Francisco was famous for its fog, but we didn't realise how windy it was going to be on top of the double-decker bus. Especially going over the Golden Gate Bridge. We nearly got blown off ...
