    A great Perth Hotel!

A small, business, boutique hotel I believe they call it. Room small, so glad Danny managed to upgrade us but the bed was ginormous, very clean and bathroom great. The staff on reception were always very helpful and the hotel is in a great position for everything. Within a few mins walking distance to the City, Swan River, bus and train stations as well as Northbridge. Discounted breakfast at Miss Maud's over the road - buffet style and everything you could ever want in a breakfast- bit pricey at €23 but we also took out some fruit and a cake for lunch. Would recommend this hotel.

Arrived at airport at 2.45am, by Uber taxi. We had a very nice taxi driver who was a Uni student from Ethiopia. Checked in our luggage and then checked out all the duty free shops etc. Didn't buy anything as I am saving for the craft shops in the US of A! Boarded our Emirates plane to find it was not full and there were heaps of free seats. After breakfast we ...

... between Southern Cross and Coolgardie, around an area called Boorabbin, the name changes to the Goldfields Woodlands. I couldn't see any major differences in the vegetation, so I'm putting it down to just that we were entering the goldfields region. Not long after this, we were 30kms out from Coolgardie and Aaron starts poking at the sub tank (reserve fuel) button over and over. I ask what's going on and he informs me it isn't filling ...

Well we hit the 1year mark since we arrived in Perth. Have now seen all seasons from a cool winter with big storms to 44 degrees in December. The weather overall here is great. Springtime was windy but most days are calm through summer and autumn. We are still enjoying days in the early twenties. Still plenty of socialising and checking out the many restaurants. Enjoying the city life which is always buzzing with action. Some action not so flash when ...
