... we were back on the plane headed for London. It was sad for Anita's relatives throughout this trip. They hadn't seen her for 10 years (some had never met her) and weren't sure when they'd see her again. One thing i'd learnt along the way was Polish families are close, so to say goodbye to her was a tear jerking moment. What wasn't so tear jerking was the flight back. I was impressed with W!zz...even if they do spell their name with an exclamation mark!
Kamienna Góra, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, Poland andrew.campbell... Mountains is part of the larger Sudetes range. Its highest peak is Sniezka which stands on the border between the Poland and Czech Republic - at a height of 1602 meters above sea level. The mountains are wonderful for trekking and ski. Large areas of the mountains are preserved as National Park.

... the north of the country as planned, we also popped back into Germany a few times, Sharon felt a bit safer free camping in Germany as its more accepted and there are more rest stops. This also meant we got to check out Dresden which was as expected really nice, it reminded me of a very compact Paris, lots of buildings in a style not normally associated with Germany but carefully restored to something near its former glory since the war. The center of Dresden ...
Liberec, Bohemia, Czech Republic pihollandal the former eastern bloc countries make for good travel,, but the one that i return to is the czech republic,, mainly to the north [north bohemia],liberec, harrochov, cesky raj, but a trip or two to moravia is also worth taking,,. during the communist times it was an eye opener, now also as the people wish for the return of those times, they knew where their bread was coming from, and the upgrades fron old skoda to super fast motorcars,, ah they stilll are crazy on the roads
Liberec, Bohemia, Czech Republic jefa... takze sme vybrali nase jesenne vertovky, ktore s nami precestovali pol sveta za posledny tyzden a mohli sme objavovat mesto pred nami. Liberec ma krasny architekturu z cias ked to bolo druhe najvyznamnejsie mesto v Cechach. Jeho odevnicky a tkacsky priemysel je preslaveny v celom byvalom Ceskoslovensku.
Liberec, Bohemia, Czech Republic mozi... one book in reserve, yet I still end up re-reading books while I search for another. There was a dry spell in South America when I think I read the Nanny Diaries over three times. Since we have been in Europe, I have read 3 books: The Man Who Was Thursday by G.K. Chesterton A turn-of-the-century mystery by the master of theology, absurdity, and insight. Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert The journey of a woman developing an ...

Szklarska Poreba, Western Poland, Poland bogna... was a short 2km hike up the side of the road to a chairlift which was to carry us 528m up the range to Mt Kopa (1375m). It wouldn't have been difficult to hike all the way up, but with only a couple of hours we decided to make the most of our time higher up. There was a lot of snow at the top, and despite the threat of the clouds gathering above us we decided to press on to the summit of Mt Sniezka, which looked a lot more imposing from closer up. The trail ran alongside the Czech border ...
Karpacz, Western Poland, Poland will... or not, desperately trying to work out what we think fuel will cost and what its advertised. Only when we get back we find its 40z to the pound, so shopping was incredibly cheap, to the extent Rob wishes to go back!! I make coleslaw (P.I.T.A) and a potatoes salad and its 12 degrees but without a breeze so Robs outside doing a BBQ. The campsite was difficult to find but is a nice site, large, no one around except one other large caravan with no ...
Trutnov, Czech Republic rob.jenn... clearly marked, so I was standing where the 76 men (3 made home runs) came out in the great escape - amazing. Walked the 4k back to the train station had some bread and chicken pate and brought a ticket. Left 1 Zt on the change plate and the girl next in the queue pointed it out, I asked if she spoke English, she did, she was going to Wroclaw so I joined her. Train broke down at Goliszow so had to wait 30 mins for another loco.
