... He was too young to be executed and so he was held in isolation for 4 years before he died of consumption. During WW2, the Small Fortress continued to be used as a prison by the Germans but the Garrison town was used as a Ghetto to isolate Jews who might cause embarrassment due to their fame or connections. It was also used as the showpiece camp to convince the Red Cross that the Jews were being treated humanely.

Early start this morning to travel to Teplice Nad Metují after a tram, a train, a bus, a train, & then another train 4 hours later we were there. It's a tiny little town with about 4 or 5 houses, surrounded by forest. In the forest are a whole lot of odd shaped sandstone formations. A million years ago this whole area was covered in ocean, & the unusual looking rocks were formed as the sea ...

... We had a lot of fun although Lukas, the party trasher, didn't let us play as much but we still had a good time. Did I mention there was a pool there and every single day we went swimming with Camy and Sydney we did flips, turns, twists, handstands, cartwheels wait cartwheels? we didn't do any cartwheels ...mommy you were wrong we didn't do any cart wheels what so ever ...I'm sorry for that interruption and we also did flips.Bye for now!

... br> And I have to mention my mother and Carl here...they got on the dance floor and blew every one else out of the water... THEY CAN DANCE! My siblings and I (along with a few other people) bore witness to this....I guess those 10 years of ballroom dance classes really paid off.

All in all it was great time and Thank You Ghislain and Daria for inviting us and allowing us to celebrate such a momentous event in such a beautiful setting. It was just... Fantastic!
