... enter and based on the research I did prior to the trip, had heard it is quite underwhelming, so decide against going in. The best part of the castle is the view, and you can get that without going in. Arrive at the top to spectacular views looking down on the entire Lake Bled area. I see a path that leads behind the castle and make my way towards it. I thought it would be a pretty easy walk, but turned out to ...
The rain was gone now, although it was still very cloudy. Josie got a Magnum ice cream bar, and we fed the birds. These ducks and swans are not nearly as feisty (or hungry) as those at Sankt Gilgen. They must be fed a lot by the tourists as they weren't really going after our bread. Oh well.

... head to the Bled Gorge. I am still struggling to write about it cause I have never seen anything more breathtaking. There is a stream rippling through the craggy parts of the gorge. To walk through this beauteous wonder you use a wooden bridge that winds through the gorge; think Lothlorien as a river city but more simple, uncluttered and rustic. It is the most exquisite place I have ever beheld in my life. I wanted to take up residence right then and there and if I were ...
