... cars up another hill to the car park. The slopes of the gorge were covered in beech trees so it was a bit like Liffey Falls area at home. The Radovna river thunders through the gorge and there are several waterfalls along the walk. One of the falls is 16 m high and at the end of the walk, which was another 1.6km after we hopped off our bikes. Evening everyone! Our first day in Slovenia has been so relaxing and such a treat after our 15hour train journey here. The scenery alone is definitely worth the sweaty journey! We've been really lucky again and are staying in another nice hostel. ... but our guide snuck us in and we found out it wasn't just closed because it was an off season but because parts of the bridge was broken!! We walked on broken boards and missing railing for a little bit of the hike along the gorge. All of this combined with it being slippery was really dangerous but no one got hurt and I am so glad we did it!
