The campsite was very good but because it is surrounded by flooded rice fields and salt marsh it was plagued by mosquitos. We did get too many bites but they are annoying!

One thing we did do on the way to Eucaliptus beach was give Florance a much needed wash. We had filled up with fuel and got a deal on an automated car wash. With hindsight it was a bit of a gamble, but she came out clean and undamaged.

We left Valencia, making our way towards Barcelona and stopped for a couple of hours at the pretty seaside holiday town of Peniscola, complete with it's castle. ... we were to visit the town, the hairdresser mentioned a good patisserie and that was our first port of call for coffee and cake after parking up. Then we set off to explore the narrow, cobbled streets of the old town, built on a sandstone hill, giving fine views across the surrounding countryside. ... availability so as planned on the way down we took a decision to look to see if the pitch we occupied last time was vacant. It was but since the one directly opposite was slightly flatter we went for that. It proved a good choice as from the kitchen window I can see the sea beyond the hedges and villa roofs. Arrived in town at 16:00 when siesta is in full swing so quiet as a mouse. Did a stroll to find out the ATM etc. I'm always fascinated with Mediterranean towns and villages that even with hundreds of acres available they are packed into a tiny space on the hill......surrounding the church.
