      Saalbach Skiing and Home Time

A travel blog entry by jacquihawthorne on Mar 06, 2015

We got up early so we could get some good skiing in. We both had the best day of skiing so far, the weather was lovely and we were both a little less sore. We did heaps of runs, and then headed back to the accomodation about 11.30 so we could shower and pack before we had to move out at 12. There wasn't really enough time to go back ...

      Saalbach Skiing

A travel blog entry by jacquihawthorne on Mar 05, 2015

We skiied most of the day today, first went up the gondola and t-bar near us and did the smaller slopes over there. It was snowing heaps and freezing cold. We left the slope for lunch and went to the supermarket where we found puss sticks, so we cooked them for lunch. We went back over to the other slope and did some runs. We stopped at Maisalm on the way down for a drink when the lift closed and then ...

      Saalbach Skiing and Toboganning

A travel blog entry by jacquihawthorne on Mar 04, 2015

We had breakfast and hit the slopes early. We went to the lift closest to our place and caught the gondola up. We skiied down and by the end josh was already super tired and needed a break, so he went back home to rest. I did the run a couple more times then went back for a break. I went back out and took the gondola and then t-bar up the top, which I fell off which was embarrassing. There were some nice easy runs up there which was good. After that I headed back for ...

      Saalbach Skiing

A travel blog entry by jacquihawthorne on Mar 03, 2015

We got up early and went to the supermarket to get some bread, ham, cheese and coffee for breakfast. After that we went to the baby slope for josh to get some more practice. Eventually we went up the main gondola right to the top. Up there we couldn't find the blue run for the first 50m so Josh walked down. I couldn't get my ski boots on so by the time I did that josh had started skiing, but he thought I was ...

      Saalbach

... skiing before the lifts closed. I taught Josh the very limited stuff I know, but he managed to pick it up fast. We caught the lift up a few times and he didn't have too many stacks. We took our skis home and Josh got changed and we decided to hit up après ski. The town was so so cool, everything covered in snow, music pumping, everyone having a great time with such a beautiful view of the ski trails and lifts. We got ...
