... in Zell am See, since we hadn't really seen much of the city yet. It's on the edge of a lake, the Zeller See. And we hadn't eaten lunch.. So we walked down to the lakeshore and found a nice bench to eat our sandwiches. Then we rented an electric boat and went all the way around the lake. The views were beautiful and it was incredibly relaxing.
Afterwards we took a stroll through Zell am See, where there was some kind ...
... we thought about taking a funicular down to the valley floor. But it was kind of expensive, and the views were still not that great. So we decided to just leave. That was our last stop on the road, so we headed back toward Zell am See, stopping at a couple places where the views hadn't been that great in the morning sun.
After finally coming down out of the mountains, and leaving the high alpine road, we went through a small town that was having a tractor festival. ...
... boyfriend, was even teaching a kayaking course there to an awesome team of university students, so it was a family affair!

Still being tired from the night before it was really easy to sleep for the whole bus trip. We left the hostel in Munich and headed back to Austria. After a few hours driving up into some mountainous country we came across a river flowing quite fast. This is where some of the group did white water rafting. I've already done it a couple of time and in places where you don't need a 7mm wetty, so I passed.
Arrived at the Hopfgarten Contiki house ...
A WARM BREKKY, yay! Most the breakfasts we have had have been ham, cheese, bread and one variety of cereal or yoghurt. Bags were chucked on the bus and off for Venice. We drove through the Austrian alps via the Brenner pass to Italy. We arrived at our contiki based "camp site" for the night and it was stinking hot. We had an hour to chill out then we got on the ferry to cross ...
