A bus ride through Potsdam
... housing estates people lived in are just so sad looking and must have been a buggar to live in.Mind you they built some new ones in the 70s which were not a lot better. A lot of grey and a lot of restoration still to be done. Some areas we drove through still had evidence of the wall, you can tell that the Russians just came in and took over. All in all a interesting afternoon.

Euro Trip 2010_ Part 1

The Ravaged City
... way to spend an afternoon, but it was interesting to see. We cheered ourselves up with a steak dinner, not Alberta beef by any means, but still good, and then headed back into Berlin to try to see the Reichstag. This time we were literally at the line, they put the rope down right in front of us after we had waited for another forty min, but we decided it wasn't meant to be, and left for the hotel as it was an early flight the next morning.
