Today, I did my last dive in Fakarava: the name is Deriving dive, means that you slide with the stream. I think it was the most spectacular dive I ever done and also the more technical. First you dive in the blue and you go to catch the ground to not slide yet with the stream. When you look around, you discover about 50 sharks which are doing the same, they just go in the stream and the keep the same position in order to eat and breath without to much ...

... were turning around to get a part of the lunch We keep continue with our boat to arrive to motu : kind of vision of paradise: only 10 coconuts tree and some pink sand with a lagoon blue turquoise around.... There I did some snorkeling trying to find turtles or Manta ray but in vein. Foe the lunch we did a fish BBQ on the island and Raw fish meals with coconut lemon onions tomato salt from the lagoon, a little sleep with some fresh coconut juice and it was time to return to our village.

I wanted to dive during these few days that I took on Fakarava but I got cold in the plane with the air cooler and my nose and hear were blocked giving the diving impossible as I was not able to equilibrate my hears. ... the blue: which means that you don t see the ground only blue everywhere... very impressive even more when some shark come to turn around when your going down. As nobody was scared, I understood that it was a specie of shark not dangerous for human, but it s still very impressive when your not used to it. I must confess that I consume my oxygen quicker than if they were not here: you consume more when your a little stress... The dive was one more time amazing ...

There are only teachers traveling in french Polynesia or people working for the government in french Polynesia. As the life cost is very high, the french government give astronomical salaries to compensate it: to give an example a teacher will earn almost twice the salary of a veterinary (liberal profession)...

There was a bit of drama while we were in Tuhania. The wind had been picking up and swinging around, so we were all on a lee shore.
