    ... only to be awoken, whilst in the deepest sleep, by Gilly's, what I can only call totally unnatural violent snoring. After shouting a few expletives at him to shut up, which had no effect whatsoever, I decide to get up and go back to the bar.

    When I returned at 1am, Les woke up and asked me why I was dressed and was I going out?

    Today I was with the blue bus as we went to Old Town Innsbruck and saw the Golden Roof (Goldenes Dachl) which is made of 2,738 fire-gilded copper tiles from Emperor Maximillan I to mark his wedding to Bianca Maria Sforza, the Duke of Milan's daughter. We were also able to experience the beauty of the Imperial Palace.

    ... to be on the gondola with piano accordionist and singer. Serenaded all the way which was thoroughly enjoyable.     ... breaking conversations the last few days with a boy who will remain nameless (!) I was left sitting looking out on the pouring rain wondering why I was crazy enough to think I could do this alone!     ... but I think her best years are behind her. The general information she gives is repetitive and confusing and she prattles on so you tune out and possibly miss some relevant info she may slip in somewhere. Her geographical info is patchy and confusing. She offers little distraction from the endless hours of driving - no activities, movies or music - except to prattle on from time to time in her annoyingly repetitive and confusing manner. At least the scenery is magnificent ...
