    ... is 2970m 9744f)high. AradasThis is the longest aerial cable car in the world. It takes about 30 minutes to the top. Not too bad and the views are amazing. There is a revolving restaurant at the top that was used in the James Bond film, In her majesty's Secret Service. There is a James Bond museum there as well.     ... decided to hike the several miles back rather than take the bus, and walked along a beautiful stream, which had an amazing blue-gray-white color from glacier runoff. Along the way, we stopped off at Trummelbach falls, a series of glacier runoff waterfalls that run entirely inside the mountain. The views and sounds were amazing, but man that was a lot of steps.

    ... vehicles. On the other side of town we caught the train to Grutschalp above Lauterbrunnen and transferred to the cable car into the town centre.
    Kat and Mark joined us for dinner, which was a full turkey and trimmings meal in celebration of the upcoming new year. JJ proved that he is on the mend by exercising his arm with the toys we had in the crackers!
    We are expecting fireworks and church bells at midnight so we are looking forward to the new year ...

    ... on and we stopped for lunch. A park near the cliff side had great benches for our picnic lunch we had packed. While eating we somehow struck up a conversation with a woman sitting nearby. It turns out she was from Duncan, BC of all places, a short drive from our home in Victoria! We couldn't believe that we had all traveled so far only to find someone from home.

    Explored Innsbruck's historic centre in the clear, sunny, still morning – lovely day appreciated even more after so many rainy days. Easily within walking distance: Golden Roof, Helblinghaus (true to its name – intricately decorated, multi- coloured, multi –storied building, City Tower, St John’s Cathedral, Imperial Palace.
