... left late & ate up 14 mins. So we only had 2 mins to make the connection. Believe me it was just like in amazing race, as we made the 100 yard dash, at a sprinters pace to make the connection. Marilyn was about 30 yards behind as I got to the train. ... we couldn't see it that well because there were clouds covering the mountain tops on that side of the valley. But the view was still amazing. Because at the head of the valley was a smaller snow-covered mountain called Johanisberg. And descending from the mountain and into the valley was the largest glacier in the eastern Alps, the Pasterzengletscher. We later learned that the glacier has retreated 2 km in recent history, and is expected to be completely gone in 35 years ...
