Dolomites to Paris

A travel blog entry by jtate on Jan 21, 2015

Today we woke early to have breakfast before our taxi came to take us to the train station. We were running a tad late due to the overly relaxed concierge and when we arrived at the station were in trouble for being only 2 mins early for the bus. To add to the pressure we had to pay the taxi driver the fee of €25 which would have been fine if we had the cash or had time to go to the ATM. ... took a good 30minutes to arrive! Eventually we got our ski passes and jumped in a taxi to our hotel. We were wondering just how much it was going to cost! I was hoping less that €50! Luckily it only came to €25 so I was pretty happy about that and the taxi driver was great, telling us all about the area. The hotel was lovely, a huge spacious room and a fantastic view of the mountains. What more could you ...

Wow wow and more wow - my Roman mantra. It was an unbelievable city that I am still dreaming about. If you want the short story - stop reading now and book your ticket for Rome - you won't regret it!!! If you want to find out how I conquered this city read on and enjoy... What makes Rome so brilliant is its history. We all know about the ancient Romans but you don't fully appreciate their empire until you are standing in the Colosseum or exploring the Imperial Forums. ...
