Crossing over the Falzarego Pass, the sky opens up and we are pelted by hail. It gets so heavy that we are nervous that the hailstones will dent the roof of the car.

Wandered back to the car, hard to find when there are so many Italian classics parked in one place, but ...

A glass of wine and a local apple strudel, while viewing all this, made a great afternoon tea and then we caught a cable car back to the city - again with views of Bolzano and the the beautiful vineyards surrounding it! Later when we returned to Riva Del Garda we dined at a restaurant overlooking the little harbour by our ...

We left Innsbruck on....umm...what's today..? ...I think it's Saturday 23rd, so it must have been Friday 22nd I think.
We have been trying to stay ahead of the rear-guard onslaught from a horde of German holiday-makers who began their holidays yesterday afternoon, amid a national train strike....
Anyway, we headed out over the Brenner Pass after checking to see that it was open as they had closed it due to snow 2days ...
