This morning, we awoke and left Sinaia in order to drive the 50km to Bran, where we would find Bran Castle. The sky was overcast and it was quite chilly, but we thought it was the perfect setting to visit the castle most often associated with Dracula. It was settled in the 1500's and has a huge city square which is used for concerts, political rallies etc. There is also The Black Church so named because of a fire. It is the largest Gothic Church east of Vienna. We headed back to the Ramada Inn in Brasov for the evening. Tomorrow is Vlad's Castle then back to ...

... for social equality or justice. It also very well may not lie here, but I'll be beginning my search for it, a search that may be the most important one of my life.

It really is amazing the thoughts one can entertain when one dines on their own, but leaving the restaurant, I was consumed by an optimism the magnitude of which I'm not sure I have ever felt before. It was this walk home, through the rain and the mud and the much of Brasov, Romania that made me feel truly ...
