... and it was honestly so much fun!!! We counted down in Romanian and then the fireworks and singing only got more insane hahaha. It was such an incredible night, and so different to what we're used to for New Years with the weather and traditional singing and dancing! The fortress was less busy which was nice as we were able to explore and look around at our own pace and experience the outstanding views as we climbed to the top. The weather was also cooler today than the other day which made walking up big hills abit less painful. Afterwards we tried our hand at ...

... her to show us her ticket, but she is non-responsive.

Eventually our tickets are clipped without comment and we can settle down. Most of the trip is through flat farming country, very green, with occasional small rivers and wetlands. The stations we pass through seem very fine on nameplates, so we hope the train will be on time, so we can get out at the first station after 11.28am.

We make a couple of stops in the big industrial town of Ploesti, ...
