      ... in weird places to view, they were not picture worthy, and that was it. This church more or less looked just like the outside of the church. Just one big gray slab of rock. Even the altar was not very ornate by European Church Standards. All in all, if I ever go to Brasov again I would skip this church and save my 8 lie, for the shear fact that there was really nothing much to see. ...

      ... was pretty simple and not that much of an ordeal. For the first time, on a train in Europe, I did not get yelled at for some "Infraction" or another. The train ride was about two to two and half hours long and I was placed in a sleeping car so it was super quiet and I had a hard time staying awake. However since I was riding the EuroRail I got hooked up with free water and snacks. So ...

      ... tourist map so used Bryan's notes from Mr Google (and a map in a bus shelter further on) to get to our hotel. Only 10 minutes from the station.

      It was about 11 am by now. The man at the hotel (probably the owner) spoke very good English. We asked about getting to Bran to see Bran Castle (aka Dracula's Castle). He said a taxi wasn't much more than a bus to get to the main bus station for Bran. He called a cab for us about 11.30 and it was 6 lei ...

      And then the Wheels came off...

      ... the original bus was good as gold but no one was convinced by that statement and we all adjourned to the new bus and headed back into town. The original bus driver, in sign language, indicated he wanted to marry Steve but, fortunately, Steve has designs on someone else.

      At 7.30 we all met to head out for a group dinner. It was Nicky's 37th birthday so we did the obligatory birthday singalong, tucked into some birthday cake and had a jolly good night.

      Today was one of the trips I have been looking forward to so much, a trip to Bran castle. After yesterday's fiasco we double checked where to get of the bus and how to get there. We again caught 2 busses, a city bus to a transport hub then a coach to Bran.
