    ... small cost. Jason and I shared a fried dough snack called langos and we had it with a cream and cheese on top, but sweeter options like chocolate were available too. We also bought a bean soup to share and then a local Romanian filled pretzel. Everything we ate was delicious and it was nice to share so we could try more. All around Brasov, there are numerous coffee vending machines and since it was so cold, I used a couple of these to buy a cup of coffee to keep me warm. ...

    ... and 1477 on the site of an earlier church (destroyed by Mongol invasions in 1242), the construction of the Marienkirche was hampered by extensive damage caused by Turkish raids in 1421. The church was given its new name after disaster stuck again in 1689, when the 'Great Fire' levelled most of the town, blackening the walls of the church. Restoration took almost 100 years.
