We left the hostel at 9:30am to go on a tour of all the main sights in Transylvania. Our first stop was Peles Palace, former home of the Romanian royal family. Whilst the facade fave the impression that it was hundreds if years old, the palace was only built in the late 1800s this meant that at the time it was built it had full central heating and electricity as well as a sliding glass roof in the ...

When we reached the main square at the top of the high street dance music was blaring out and everyone was gathered around a stage it turned out to be a guy on an exercise bike doing some sort of exercise class with people in the crowd joining in. We did manage to miss the large tour group, who all entered with their head phones in as we departed. We walked back down the steep entrance, the air going eerie and still the moment we stepped out of the sunlight. ...

    ... pump was
kaput. They were going to try to find a Renault
garage this morning (fingers crossed). There was also another team meant to be
joining us in a Toyota Supra but apparently their gearbox blew up in Austria,
so we’re not sure what’s happening with them.

We had an uneventful (though hot) journey out of Hungary,
passed through passport control at the border & bought a ...
