... market, but we only had one night there, barely enough time to enjoy the atmosphere. Compared to other markets and such, we found shopping was better in Innsbruck compared to Munich. Swarovski crystal originated here and so that was also a big shopping draw. Their most recent orb for Christmas is exquisite!
While in Munich, I took a side trip without Jon to Salzburg, Austria. I've always wanted to visit Salzburg ever since I saw the "Sound of Music". Our ...

... than the tunnels the trip was uneventful til we got to Innsbruck. The Altstadt (old town) christmasmarket had started on the weekend. Our hotel was on the christmasmarket street. After a couple of misses and drive bys we finally pulled into the market, found the hotel and the receptionist told John where the parking was and that he needed to do a U turn and get off the street right away! The car is parked until we leave on Thursday.

... I had seen the last of the Alps but for sure
that is not the case. What I have just come through was pretty much green grass

I stopped at one town and stood there for about 20 minutes or so just
    taking photos and watching ...

... that was the Old Swiss House. At the recommendation of our friend Casey we decided to give this place a try and we were certainly not disappointed! The restaurant itself had a very comfortable, timeless (if not a tiny bit dated) feel to it but the service was impeccable just like you would expect from a wonderful restaurant like this. One of the must have items on the menu was of course the weinerschnitzel so both Tirzah and I ordered that while Trevor and Bree ...

... field to a road. Huh?? Not sure how to get there so we followed a path through the fields. Once across the fields we found a McDonalds by the VERY busy road and stopped to read our map. We finally concluded that we had not ridden far enoough so at this point we followed the bike path beside the road and eventually reached a sign with an arrow for Hall of Tryol straight ahead. We road another 5 minutes and still didn't see the town. We road up and down some side ...
