Tom and Sue took the day to zip to Bilbao (1:45 south of Biarritz) to see the famous Guggenhiem Museum. Wow, what a building!! The exhibits pale in comparison, but still we enjoyed a solid 4 hours at the museum. Afterwards, we drove back to San Sebastian where Sue introduced me to Alona Berri, the ...

Biarritz, Aquitaine, France kramertown... we tried to get a lesson from our hostel but they said the instructor wasn´t available. I think he was hungover because I saw him moping around the hostel. We rented boards and head out to Playa Zuricola, tons of surfers were out and the waves look meanacing. Thank god the dude renting the boards told us where the ...
San Sebastián - Donostia, Basque, Spain and Canary Islands sofenjon... it just so happens to be the middle of the San Sebasitan film festival. Apparently, we were the only 3 idiots who haven't seen Brad Pitt. As we get to the hostel, Raphie meets this girl who gives him a free ticket (he's like that, always getting into weird things as you'll see). As Raphie is off to the movies, Kali'i and I decide to go swimming, despite the **** weather. We run across the street and play in the waves. These things are ...
San Sebastián - Donostia, Basque, Spain and Canary Islands jdcabanel... ll see from the pics. Got some new roomies from England. 3 girls who are all teaching English in Spain at the moment. Very nice and we all went to eat ´´tapas´´ that night... they are supposidly unique in San Sebastian compared to everywhere else in Spain because of their fresh seafood. They were beyond delicious!!! We went ´´tapas hopping´´ where we went from bar to bar and had 1 piece and a drink at each bar... so much fun and SO much great food ...
San Sebastian, Spain tammiandchrissy... was filled with people. Here is were we learned about Tapas. This is a great way to eat dinner and socialize. There are many little bars lining the streets that have an array of Spanish finger food to choose from. You order a little glass of wine, that comes in a cup, a few nibbles of food, and enjoy. After you are done you move on the the next bar and do the same, until you are full. It was really tastey and amazingly cheap. I think it cost 4 of us about €30 total to eat and ...
San Sebastián - Donostia, Spain tmcclurg... beach and kids everywhere. People have cute umbrellas on their strollers instead of shades like at home. We hung out at Kursaal for a while then played at the Wind Combs which are right at the edge of the water and the land has been shaped to manipulate the wind created by the waves. People got scared by unexpected winds coming from the ground. After San Sebastian we ...
San Sebastian, Spain soccerkittyHey, it´s been a long time, for you and for me, I know. Well we ended our stay in Paris with a bang. Mike realized last Friday that Justen's flight was coming in on Sunday morning, not Saturday morning, so we had to switch around our plans, but everything worked out ok with no additional monetary damage. Anyways, it gave us another chance to party in Paris. Seems like many times unexpected setbacks can turn into a better time ...
