Liebe Menschen,
Bis dahin: Keep on rockin´

... It's pretty picture perfect.
Vintgar Gorge is about 4km away from Bled in a National Park. Over 100 years ago, two locals built a 2km boardwalk around and across the gorge. It’s a beautiful, peaceful walk that was a nice antidote to all of the cities we’ve been visiting. Bled and Vintgar show off the real Slovenia – outdoorsy, rustic and beautiful.
... over to this union bar that had the internet and this nerd was hogging the internet I tried to have a beer but felt really sick so we had to go trecking around the bars in the ghost town to see if we could find anywhere that had the internet luckily we found somewhere and we are now going to Austria tomorrow to stay in Salzburg. Nothing open around the town its so dead when you go somewhere out of season that we went for a chinese again ha ha ah.
... and bathroom and cooking stuff so we popped out to get some food for breakfast and stuff and then went for a chinese. I must admit after weeks and weeks of eating med food it was nice to have something a little different chicken fried rice has never tasted so good lol. After the meal we popped for a walk to the lake but it was really dark and we couldnt see much so we are waiting till tomorrow to have a good look around.
Bled, Slovenia traceybelle... we finally got out of the way. We couldn’t stop laughing, it must have been an hilarious sight!
We had used all the tissues to clean the oil from the chain off of Witek’s hands so I had to clean up with a dirty tissue I found in my pocket, nice.
Witek insisted on riding my girl’s bike after he had fixed the chain as he was worried about it seizing up on me again. I didn’t want to ride his boys bike though and I argued unsuccessfully that he ...
... sauce, ALMOST but not quite as good as Mom's and Linda's. The region is known for its wine, I tried the white, Bill the red, they serve it in plain measured off pitchers, the white was excellent (quoth this seldom drinker), very bright, a little citrusy. Breakfast was the German variety, a selection of meats, muesli, yogurt, etc. Some large brown flake that turned out to be Slovenian Cocoa krispies but not as good, bearing in mind it's been a long time ...
Bled, Slovenia commuter... it would be too expensive to drive there and we were not sure about the safety driving through some of the countries. We were a bit disappointed as it was somewhere that we really wanted to go, but after talking with the couples we were pretty happy with our decision. Turkey is somewhere that we can go another time and spend a bit more time there-it would have cost us a lot in petrol and time.
Bled, Slovenia armajor7... of Europe really are, and how much I appreciate natural settings alongside my passion for cities of the world. A day-trip to the Slovenian capital city, Ljubljana, seemed too good a prospect to pass up, and spending half a day wandering around the place made me realize how astonishingly livable it all seemed, with barely a hair out of place. Another excursion undertaken on this ski trip was a journey to neighbouring Italy (Udine and Trieste) by ...
Kranjska Gora, Slovenia jollyjetsetter... a little higher, eating my lunch (an apple and a pear), and taking photos. A weak sun has come out as I start back, but it's enough to soften the snow, so the first part of the descent was wallowing through waist-high snow in my shorts, sometimes falling through and scraping my knees and legs on rocks under the snow. I am up there all alone and lose the trail almost immediately - there are footsteps going off in every direction, and I have to scramble across steep, brittle rock ...
