Got up and packed quickly as we had an 8 am train to catch to Koln. We want to stop there quickly to see the cathedral and then continue on to Bacharach. We got up early and had a decent breakfast at the hotel. Lettie is a good host and tries very hard to please the guests. There are 2 other couples down in the breakfast room. Left Amsterdam this morning to head to Germany. Several train connections - Amsterdam to Koln, then Koln to Koblenz, and then Koblenz to Bacharach. Very impressed with the 1st class train lounge in Amsterdam. Free drinks, a nice lounge, WC, and TVs. Picked up picnic lunch to eat on train.
