... went through the town starting at 2pm and all the shops and stores were closed. We soon found out that the businesses close from 2pm to 6pm and it was best to do any shopping in the morning. We arrived in Naxos on our comfortable and speedy aquajet and were thankfully met by an agent who showed us to our transfer and organised the information for our stay (things were looking up!).
Our hotel was on the outskirts of the main area and check in was simple before being shown to our room and getting a run-down of the area and the island.

very picturesque town; very clean with white sandy beaches and white buildings.
It is quite a contrast to Naples, which was full of traffic congestion, noise
and littered streets.
