... Rick Steves guide & we are very glad we went. Grant tried 3 new local brews and Bonnie actually ordered a beer for the first time (it was very raspberry, but not a cider)! The food also was fantastic! Overall, we have enjoyed our stay in Prague. ... She is the patron saint of miners ( this was a silver mining town). The church was so nice.....my favorite so far. It's perched up on a hill with a lovely view of the vineyard and countryside. And, as a much appreciated bonus, the sun was out! We actually took off our uniform coats today. No gloves! ... the church, all while following the "religious people rules of bone decoration." He got his sight back when he was done.
The Ossuary is very cool to see, the highlight being a chandelier of bones. It is only one room, so it doesn't take long. (Technically, there is a chapel upstairs and a pretty cemetery outside, but those aren't the good parts.)

The bone church was less shocking this time, but just as confronting - if that makes any sense at all. 40,000 bodies are organised into four skull towers, and the other bones used to decorate the ceiling and walls. The ossuary in Palermo, Sicily was shocking in its personal feel. ... is the St. Barbara Cathedral. This was a huge beautiful cathedral. It is here that you can see the wealth that the town generated as a silver mine. The pipe organ and other ornamentation is silver. The details in the stained glass windows are amazing.
