He took us out to visit Anita's babcia. We went to a tiny little village out of town that looked like it'd seen better days. In fact, most of Poland had seen better days. Since the fall of the Soviet Union, and more recently, the induction into the E.U, all of Poland's wealth and labour force had moved west across the border ...

... Mountains is part of the larger Sudetes range. Its highest peak is Sniezka which stands on the border between the Poland and Czech Republic - at a height of 1602 meters above sea level. The mountains are wonderful for trekking and ski. Large areas of the mountains are preserved as National Park.

We crossed into the Czech Republic and decided to follow the country along the mountains that border Germany in the north, there seemed a few national parks and nice driving routes along the way so we just hoped it was a quite area and we could just relax and explore. We have been to Prague a couple of times its a great city probably one of our favorite in Europe but this time we just decided to stick to the countryside and see a bit more of life out of the city ...

al the former eastern bloc countries make for good travel,, but the one that i return to is the czech republic,, mainly to the north [north bohemia],liberec,harrochov,cesky raj, but a trip or two to moravia is also worth taking,,. during the communist times it was an eye opener, now also as the people wish for the return of those times,they knew where their bread was coming from, and the upgrades fron old skoda to super fast motorcars,, ah they stilll are crazy on the roads

Liberec ma krasny architekturu z cias ked to bolo druhe najvyznamnejsie mesto v Cechach. Jeho odevnicky a tkacsky priemysel je preslaveny v celom byvalom Ceskoslovensku.

... I could make a wrong first impression. But I am a very sensitive and warm-hearted person. Although both of us have enough of seeing each other for now, I have this impression things have "clicked" in between us. And if there is no "click" in between people, it`s hard to build up a friendship, or even, as my friend would say, a "rough friendship". The time will show whether we will be able to continue our relationship.

... was a short 2km hike up the side of the road to a chairlift which was to carry us 528m up the range to Mt Kopa (1375m). It wouldn't have been difficult to hike all the way up, but with only a couple of hours we decided to make the most of our time higher up. There was a lot of snow at the top, and despite the threat of the clouds gathering above us we decided to press on to the summit of Mt Sniezka, which looked a lot more imposing from closer up. The trail ran alongside the Czech border ...

... as I have finally relented and allowed her to have access to the heater, this is due to the clothing crisis, we look silly in just jumpers and shorts (I think this was Jennies plan all along!!). We didn't manage to get into the local town except for the shopping trip as the priority was for Jenn to get the washing done - it may appear that I am a slave driver, but when the lav breaks down I have my hand in the socket fixing it so don't feel too bad.
