... break, although we had our first encounter with the persistent wasps which seem to roam Slovenia. Lucy was surprised that she has been seeing wasps a lot as she thought they only lived in England. Suppose they could be following her. We eventually made it to the top and then back down to the other side where Vintgar gorge lies. Walked for about an hour through it- so pretty although sometimes it was a battle through the masses of tourists on the small wooden bridges. Had ...

We were on a boat with the 8 of us and our guide who made the trip very entertaining. The rapids were fun and we hit them at top speed thanks to Anna's enthusiastic chanting which kept us all in time. She was named the captain of the ship. In true Oxford linguist style ...

Lucy's not sure yet that it's better than lake jarun though. Walking round the lake was lovely and then we hired a rowing boat to get to the island in the middle of the lake. Lucy wasn't too sure and held onto the edge of the boat with white knuckles until we reached the island, at least she wasn't sick and she got ...
