... Vienna opera house, street musicians performing in the streets. Vienna is a shoppers dream, which I would compare with London, Paris or New York. There is a street (actually 3 or 4 blocks) which is referred to as the "unaffordable street". We saw many well known stores: Mont Blanc, Louis Vuitton, Ferrari, Maserati, Tiffany, etc. We spent 3.5 days in Vienna, visiting the ...

... VERY cold and it got down to 7 degrees there. So I wore my new warm coat – tag still on it as I hadn’t taken it off yet. We had a nice light lunch in a pretty café. On to Salzburg. Our hotel, The Gasthof Junior is on a very main road – it seems like it will be very noisy but the room is clean and fine. We rested and then went for a walk in the local area. It has good parts and bad. As the Internet is not excellent in ...

... hit his hat a few times. Children began working in the mines at age 11. The working conditions were terrible and the average age of death was 35 years when the average for the whole population was over 50. For a long time this mine provided over 80% of the silver in the world, at least until silver started being mined in the New World. The tour lasted about an hour and a half and because we were going downhill on the way out we went ...
