ich würd mal sagen: Jetz gehts los!!!!!!

Liebe Menschen,
Bis dahin: Keep on rockin´

Buy a vowel ... (Slovenia, Continued)

... took an 8-mile hike around Lake Bled and up to the Vintgar Gorge. Imagine if you will (or just look at our pictures) a clear emerald lake with a small island housing an old church/monastery with bells ringing throughout the day; on one shore a castle sits on a cliff overlooking the lake; and the Julian Alps, draped in early winter snow, sit majestically behind the hamlet ...

Just Like being at home

Well woke up to torrential rain and it looked just like the lake district cold and damp we did try and manage to go out for a little while as we needed to get some laundry sorted and stuff but it was just to wet. We managed to get to use the internet and have a drink of really fit hot chocolate it was just chocolate melted down with lots and lots of whipped cream on the top we did not do much this day really as the weather was a wash out I managed to get ...

The Lake District

I was sorry to leave Opatija because the hotel was so lush but move on we had to I was also excited that we where going to another country as we had spent so much time in Croatia. Felt bad that we had not even tried the food or gone out properly but I am still recovering from my fall and needed to rest as much as possible. So we got the bus to Rijeka and by some stroke of luck I asked a woman on the bus where the train ...

Great food, deadly treadlies and a beautiful gorge

... became apparent throughout our journey whether they were actually a couple or not. They had an air of ‘we don’t really know what we are’ about them if you know what I mean?

The boys were both very sweaty from their run so I was very glad our leg on this train was only an hour – it could have got stinky otherwise!

Anyway, the conductor eventually arrived and asked for our tickets. We told him we didn’t have any and needed to buy them but ...

Lake Bled

The last few days have gone by so quickly! Lake Bled in Slovenia was spectacular and definitely lived up to all that we had heard. There was a church called the Church of the Assumption on a little island right in the middle of the lake, and a castle perched high up in the hills. A lot of people had taken gondola rides or were rowing boats themselves across the lake when we arrived right at sunset ...

Main Station

... just like on a piano, each lasting the same time as the last, each the right frequency above the last. I reckon it's a gearbox or a motor or something rotary getting quicker, because it's pretty similar to the noise when they do the in-car shots when the Formula One is on TV. Where the car goes up through all seven of its gears in about three seconds. That sounds quite musical, if a bit desperate.

Vintgar Gorge-ous...

... So we ate our breakfast back at the hostel before checking out and heading to the bus station. The bus to Bled comes every hour, on the hour, so we made the 10am one after getting a bit lost with which bus was which. Once we reached our stop, we followed the crowd to get off as we had no idea if we had the right stop or not since there were no signs and we couldn't see Lake Bled from where we were. Anyway, it was the ...

(see previous entry for Rovinj and Motovan, now that I've added it) Anyway, we then bussed it to Bled, in Slovenia. The girls on the trip are pretty happy with Slovenia as it appears to be purely populated with gorgeous looking blokes, with great accents ...
