Well, it all began with an over night stay at the Holiday Inn hotel in Worth near Gatwick airport on Thursday 6th April 2015. Great news: today is the day we are going to go off piste with Hannis! Hannis is the original snowboarder. Completely mad. Amazingly cool. He was itching to get away, the powder is better in the morning. "Waaaahhhhooooo!" was his warcry after being on the powder for just 10 seconds. He didn't stop hollering all morning. He told us the rules, fitted us with GPS broadcasting devices for our safety and showed me the most exhausting morning of boarding ...

He had a motocross accident at the age of 19, broke his spine, was paralysed, recovered, received fabulous Danish healthcare and cash and wanted to invest it sensibly. This specific week every year, he has up to 16 of his best friends join him for adventures on the slopes.

... painfully (albeit not fast). Now: playground! Jumps, tricks, falling painfully and congratulating yourself for doing so in a new and unique way. The single most rewarding day on the board ever (so far).
