    ... was impressive, even if the portion was rebuilt. Decided to head up into the old town. It was reminiscent of being in a medina: something new around every corner, different colour schemes and the little things worth photographing.

    ... the bus. Thessaloniki was more a base than a visit. I think two full days would be more than ample to cover its historic core. Passed the Sedes Air Base on our way out of town.

    The farming seems a bit more ragtag. Some hillside farming made maximum use of the geography. A twisting drive for Esa. A beehive colony broke up some of the monotony. Passed through sleepy Arneo. I find the smaller towns have more photogenic charm.

    Plotted up for the evening in a little town called Porto Lagos, it sounds very quaint but could be mistaken for Lagos *****ia, that is a place to avoid....
    Booked a hotel online, it looked and sounded very nice, it probably was when the took the photos in 1960.....

    Wandered into town for some scoff, ended up getting very drunk with some locals.

    ... a most around the outside and a pile of cannon balls in a corner. When we climbed up the tower, which was narrow and made for very short people, the view at the top was amazing. We wandered around for a while and just relaxed which was nice as we had no time restraints or other things to rush off and see. So and I got our own hotel room so after getting ice cream we went up and blobbed out until dinner time. ...
