    ... gas station that also had a Serway, which is a nicer gas station cafeteria. Found some panini and fruit and it hit the spot. Mac and Josie were worried as a bird was trapped inside the cafe and couldn't seem to find its way out. He was very close a couple of times, just above the ledge of the open door, but the poor bird was all freaked out and kept flying around. He was still there when we left.

    Well despite being an awfully hot night the cool shower worked and felt like I slept reasonably OK, although I woke at one point when a rain/storm started. Oh thank goodness for that cooler air blowing into the room. David had a rotten night though with dream after dream. He is prone to dreaming excessively, so much so that it really drives him nuts and is an issue for him. Can't believe some of the stuff he was up to during the night! LOL.

    ... that was used in the Oscar winning movie The Grand Budapest Hotel, which was formerly a department store in the day and is now being renovated like so many other old buildings in this city. Spectacular!
    Even though we struck out on genealogy we discovered a most beautiful intact medieval town, undamaged by the war.

    ... so the graves were dug up and the bones were placed inside the Ossuary. But when I say “placed”, think patterns and designs. There are huge piles of skulls, chandeliers made of bones, a large coat-of-arms for a prominent family totally made out of bones. It was a bit weird, but very interesting.

    But now we are a matter of miles from the Polish border and we have a long drive to Warsaw ahead of us... You will just have to wait for the next ...
