Well despite being an awfully hot night the cool shower worked and felt like I slept reasonably OK, although I woke at one point when a rain/storm started. Oh thank goodness for that cooler air blowing into the room. David had a rotten night though with dream after dream. He is prone to dreaming excessively, so much so that it really drives him nuts and is an issue for him. Can't believe some of the stuff he was up to during the night! LOL.

... and through locks the narrowest of which only allows 25cms either side of the ship. There were 4 computer screens which showed river depth from different angles and GPS locations of the ship, bridges and other craft. It has auto pilot and the whole wheelhouse can be lowered to the level of the deck when passing under low bridges. There was also a short lecture on the Czech Republic given by ...

-we navigated our way through the little town with nice vistas of the rock promontories in the distance. Once in the forest we lost our view a bit but were able to roughly follow our progress on the map.
-the best scenery came near the end of the hike when the trail took us right through and adjacent to the promontories. Cool stuff n good timing as we were about done.

... wrong. Decided to hoof
it up river n catch the short ferry across. Was glad to c it arrive n take me home to my side of the river
-chatted w L about the adventure n ate the doner n pretzel I had brought back. Good times n then early to bed.

... n craggy bluffs with castles or estates on top.
-the highlight was our lunch stop where we left the bikes n hiked up to a 13th century castle perched on this craggy knoll. It was quite a site n the views from the castle restaurant were equally stunning. Really unique n fun n memorable. Highlight of the trip so far.
