Time for a short one after that mammoth of a blog for Prague. Ha that rhymes.
Well we left Prague and had 2 choices. Down towards the town of Plzen, and the home of Pilsner beer, or up towards Karlovy Vary, famous for its natural healing waters and its spas. We chose Karlovy Vary since Chris had had his fill of beer in Prague and Plzen was a little out of the way. We also hoped to maybe get some Spa time in but unfortunately fate was against us there ...
... some awesome wurst and sourkrawt. I had 6 wurst, about a pound of kraut and 2 pieces of bread and another liter and half of beer. It was a very traditional Bavarian dinner and I can’t tell you how good it was and how much more I want to eat this every day. So after dinner we sat and drank a little bit more and talked about my travel and family. This was really cool getting to know my extended family from Germany.
Hof, Bavaria, Germany drunkendidierwe finally arrive, after twisting jules arm relentlessly, but too late for the bus, cannot wait for two more hours, so we jump in a taxi only to find we have booked ourselves into the gulag, no i mean it. we are staying in prisoner cell block F. we think of crying, but dont want to show fear to the locals.

We stop for the day in this small town. We look at hotels on the local information board and pick out a hotel. It is just around the corner. We go to the front door and it is locked, so I try a side door and ring the bell. A woman comes and says to go to the hotel door. We go back and she lets us in! She has a room ...

We have experienced Manitou and the Dead Sea, since we are here, we are going to Karlovy Vary to try out the waters. We have been looking online as to where we can float in the water, but there only seem to be spas who do all kinds of treatment, some with Dr.'s prescriptions. They also drink the water.
We arrive at the tourist office and ask where we go to float in the water. Well, there isn’t any ...
... sausages for lunch. Was half cut - half a litre of beer with jetlagg...interesting combination.
Flew from Prague on the dodgiest little plane, Jarrad was pulling sticky tape off the cabin and announcing outloud that we might not make it alive. Hmmmmm they also made the mistake of asking him to complete the customer survey...
Went out on the bikes yesterday to explore town. Amazing - bus loads of tourists arrive here daily. Photos don't do it justice.
We took a day trip to this beautiful crystal and spa town. It is noted for its water. People come from all over. It is suppose to help ailments of all kinds. There are several places in town that sell ceramic vases to use to drink from the fountains throughout the city. We strolled around for several ...
Karlovy Vary, Bohemia, Czech Republic tdennissteel... region is also known for the quality of it's porcelein and we also went to one of the factories to get some porcelein dishes as well, needless to say, our suitcases will be heavy and fragile on the way home!-but it's worth it :) We head back to Prague tomorrow, so we are spending the day seeing a few more things here and getting organized for the trip back, luckily we have a ride back with Mirek's uncle. We'll update from there..... Celina and Mirek Pollos Libres
Karlovy Vary, Czech Republic polloslibre... we are now. We've been staying with a friend of mine from work in Doha. She lives in a little town close to the border with Germany so we had a day of castles and canoeing yesterday and now it's almost time to head to Prague again before we travel to Croatia for a bit of island hopping and fun. Hope you like the pics. It's awesome being on the road again. Enjoy
Cheb, Bohemia, Czech Republic ryanislost... or two nights there.
It is not a big trip actually, if I am not mistaken it is about 2 hours from Prague, however the whole trips is interesting because you drive throuh huge thick forests and hills with beautiful colorful hills on either side of the road.
A place that mustn't be missed!
We left with the best impressions.
