        Hi all,
A rather eclectic few weeks, from swim meets to Halloween, a visit from Catherine to the usual out door activities. Here's a glimpse of the end of October....

Sadie - For dinner, Daddy had a big chain necklace around his face, he looked goofy. He was supposed to be a knight. Me and Reese were court jesters and there was also a servant for daddy who wore a big helmet on with a horn. The first course was tomatoes with big buns and dipping sauce, and there ...

We were supposed to take the cable cars and cog wheel train to Alpspix and Zugspitz for Adrian's birthday but it snowed overnight and both mountains were covered in cloud. We had to come up with a plan B and found the very pretty town of Mittenwald was close by. The buildings in this part of Bavaria are painted with murals which is quite different to other areas. We spent time wandering the streets and spending some tourist euros. We also found a good bakery/cafe and indulged ...

... only a puppet king. He turned his attentions to building castles, viewing concerts and operas, drinking and supporting the composer Wagner. By 1876 he was bankrupt and declared unfit to rule, soon after he was found dead in very shallow water but the mystery was never solved. Visits to these castles are very well organized and there is barely enough time to take in the decorations in each room. We had ...
