6am came around far too quickly this morning; I was a hot, sweaty, grumpy mess who really did not want to get up. After constantly being harassed by Sophie, I eventually got up and ready for the day. Whilst sitting on the wall outside not really having a clue where we needed to be to start our 9 day bus tour, a guy came up to us and told us we were entitled to a free breakfast which was definite good times! Went to airport but to visit travelex. Heading towards Auschwitz and trying to keep of the highways, had lots of breaks and from the road. Went looking for a camp site but it was closed so found a very nice and friend hotel half way up the mountains. They only spoke Czech and Germany so with my best German ( a large beer or chips and mayo) I booked my self in ...

... floors were concrete and there were two small fireplaces in each building. The camp is in just a normal large field but right as you go past the train station where the inmates were first taken to there is a sobering image of what all took place in the field in front of you. We spent four hours walking around Auschwitz-Birkenow and around every turn you could feel the death and cruelty that took place. In one of the buildings there was an ...
