By the middle of last week I was sinking rapidly into the mire of despair and depression. Bored out of my mind with the area in which the caravan site was located, depressed by the run down nature of the site and thoroughly fed up by having to hang around waiting for the boiler to be repaired. On the Wednesday I eventuality got a phone call from the Truma Boiler company in Germany to say my parts had arrived in Valencia - Hurrah. I rang Valencia to arrange a time ...

... dance floor surrounded by strange shuffling dance moves..! After two hours of this the drinking and behaviour of 60-90 year old people, it finally beat us and we returned back to Herman but not after a splendid lunch and many giggles...! Stayed on this campsite before in March this year with Mark. It's a great campsite, clean and well laid out, convenient for the town, two supermarkets within 2 mins and the beach 500yards away. The campsite restaurant is a bargain with Sunday Roast €5, happy hour 4-6pm €3.20 for a large glass of wine, pint and a bowl of peanuts... And then there's the Quiz and Bingo nights..! Two Fat Ladies 88..! We have made our reservation for Christmas Lunch and are very ...

... U.S. Basically everything is just shifted a little later. During the school week, we wake up about 7:30 and leave
the house around 8:30 to get to school, which starts at 9:00. Everyone has a 2-hour break in the middle of the day for lunch, roughly 1:30-3:30. Even the kids have this break, which is lunch/recess time. It may seem like a lot of wasted time, but this long lunch break has deep cultural roots. In the past, students and ...

      It's been too long!

A travel blog entry by billiejago on Aug 27, 2014

Hello! It feels like I haven't written for a lifetime. Partly because I don't have internet in my apartment, so I type my blogs in a public internet cafe.. no excuse! The month of August has been challenging yet very good. This year has brought many changes to my life. Firstly, settling in one place for a longer period of time than I usually do. I love Valencia, and I am literally in awe of this city every single time I step out of my door, ...
