The final part of the day saw an improvement in scenery as I began to climb inland. I could have stopped in Mondoñedo, a town tucked nicely into the side of the mountains. I decided to continue to Gotán (near Abadín) but didn't expect the Spanish Inquisition; that's a joke, I didn't expect the route to be so difficult. Wow was today hilly. It was just pure coast with valleys running perpendicular every 5 km, resulting in a descent, crossing under the rail or highway bridge, then a climb. Then repeat and repeat. Not as many pictures today as the scenery was either another valley or in the forest, maybe I can get some at the festival. Happy Birthday Gavin, miss ...
Thunder storm last night woke me up, haven't heard that in a long time. Elizabeth and I stayed at the same hotel so met for breakfast and got on the road before sunrise. I just wore a t shirt and found it a bit cool, but not for long. Keeping up to Elizabeth is all I can do and on the hills I tell her to go ahead, I'll catch up later. We were happy with the sky and had a good walk into ...
