... and saw that it was filled with wedding gowns and tuxedos. It was a Saturday...a day for weddings....and brides from all over Rome had come to have their big day photographed in front of the Colisseum. It was a beautiful paradox.

ALL THINGS OCEAN: I had a map of Monaco when I stepped off the QM2 tender at Monte-Carlo's harbor. The map turned out to be not very helpful. I crushed it into my bag and determined that I needed to get to the top of a massive rock face that ...
Mediterranean Sea / Atlantic Ocean, Andalusia, Spain qgirl128... gequetscht, voll lebendig, farbig, vielseitig.

adios,

domi< br>
Tarifa, Andalusia, Spain and Canary Islands dovi... the head. I yelped with joy. We stopped for breakfast at a quiet cafe. I ate heartily while Carrie looked on with disgust. She pecked at a few pieces of bread while reliving the night in regretful humor. "Why, why, why, did we drink so much, but god was it fun. I'm gonna vomit." At the end of our meal, the server bade us wait, "Uno momento," and he came back with a flower for Carrie. We assume he gave it to her because she ...
Tarifa, Andalusia, Spain and Canary Islands teemoshi... 27. It is 1,200 kilometres from Tarifa, and considering that I was doing 300 to 400 Ks a day on Moroccan roads, I should be able to do more in Europe...we will see. In Barca I'll meet Claire who at the moment is staying with our good friend Ale, the talented Italian dancer who has been hired by a Spanish company and moved there at the beginning of Summer. Final impressions of Morocco? Too many and too important to be crammed ...
Tarifa, Andalusia, Spain and Canary Islands dani.boraMy second last night on European soil was spent at a little (and "historical" according to their street signs..) hostal called La Calzada in the old town of Tarifa. Once again Claire and I wanted to treat ourselves before we part ways for the next 30 days. Needless to say it was vey nice and all, and sleeping in a real bed after a few weeks on the road was restoring. We had delicious food and drinks the ...
Tangier, Morocco dani.bora... The great thing about the hostel there too was that everyone in there was speaking spanish, which i am not used to as most of the hostels up north are filled with aussies and therefore everyone is speaking english, but here its a mix of mostly europeans. in fact, i didnt meet one aussie in the 3 days that i stayed there. No doubt there would have been a couple, but everyone i met was from either Spain, Italy, more northern Europe (Austria, Germany etc), or South ...

It was interesting to listen to his perspective and realize that Mideast/African people are as apprehensive of Western opinion as we are of theirs. Saad filled our mint tea glasses a couple of times. The Moroccan custom is for a waiter to raise the teapot 3-4 feet above the glass as he pours. Its a bit of showmanship, but Rachel explained the temperature and brew of the tea must ...
Tangier, Morocco mauro08... suggesting that if we only came with him, there were even better things to see, hear and smell (and then, of course, to BUY). This happened even outside of the tourist zone. There were those who honestly were just trying to help us because they thought we were lost; however, the vast majority had an angle. But even they can´t be blamed entirely; in a country with very high unemployment (as high as 20% we´d read), you can´t fault ...
Tangier, Morocco rossihohn... toxic green, feces brown, and blood red. So here we are, walking on these skinny catwalks, just shuttering at the thought of slipping and falling into one of these pools of God knows what. Meanwhile, there are actually workers who are wearing fishermen rubber trousers knee deep in the muck using their bare hands to wash hunks of animal skin through the juice. Now, that is the WORST job I have ever seen. I don't mean to make you queasy, no do I think any of ...
Sevilla, Spain michelob... to a fantastic cheap Morocoan restaurant at my request and seemed very happy to leave me with the 100 dinhars I felt the tour was worth. I am hopefully now going to meet him in the Cafe de Paris, where he is something of a legend I believe. All the photos are simply sent to Charlie c/o Cafe de Paris, Tanger, Morocco. He said if I ever want to meet him again just ask at the Cafe. I would recommend anyone else ever coming to Tanger do the same.
