... outstanding characteristic is its helical spire! It was started in 1682 and more or less finished in 1732. It lacked a tower and that was finally completed in 1752. There was a sign that the tower was closed because of the weather. We went in and begged to go up, but the cashier was not going to let us go up. I even told her today was our last day. I hope she isn’t there tomorrow when we try to go back!! There were baptisms until 3:00, so we could not go in!!

The price of a cup of coffee is $8, a half litre of beer at a bar is $10 or more. If you do happen to have a pile of money to spend on your travels Copenhagen shouldn't be missed. I think it's to become one of my all-time favourites.
... river on another bridge to a cocktail bar named Ruby. This place was kind of difficult to find, because it was sooo cool and modern, it didn't even have to put a sign outside. Mom enjoyed her Manhattan, and Dad his dirty Martini, but we all agreed the waiter was kind of a @*$&%.
Now on to the Jazz bar La Fontaine where we drank beer and watched little blonde-haired children play music til way past their bedtimes on a Sunday night.

... seventies, so much better than the record-setting heat with which Vienna was suffering. Also an improvement for the Baltic, apparently it had been cloudy, damp and chilly all summer.
Oh, and one more thing about the Regal Princess. Often, when the ships are leaving port, they blast their horns at the other ships, in kind of a contest. The Regal and her sister ship, the Royal, now kick-butt in that contest. Their horns play the "Love Boat" theme, in deepest bass notes.
... Gardens. We had about 1-1/2 hours to roam around on our own before taking the bus back to the ship. Tivoli Gardens is one of the oldest amusement parks (operating since 1843) to survive intact to the present day. It's a mix of cafes, gardens, bandstands, amusement rides and an outdoor theater. We knew we would arrive back at the ship around 10:00pm which would be too late to eat dinner onboard (except for room service), so we walked around briefly and sat down at a ...
