... I did not feel my legs or see anything. It was all a blur, I dodged hundreds of people clung to a fence post as 3 large bulls ran right by! I unattached myself from the post knowing more were coming and sprinted for the arena about 20 people behind the first 3 bulls! I made a hard right and then 2 more bulls came through. Runners were pouring into the arena. Finally all the bulls made it and they closed the arena! It felt like a Gladiator in ...

... subway…..4 transfers, each way….and a it took a couple of trips for various reasons……yikes, the build-up of stress in order to distress.!!!!!

So eventually I figured I was ready. Lots of *************s on what was in and what was out but eventually I got my ‘stuff’ down to about 15 lbs. The pack felt pretty good, the boots…..not so sure but I had my comfy Keens along just in case.

... the trip. When we arrived they showed us the chateau that was being refurbished and the church. The church was very quaint but had some very interesting paintings (a past pope) and had an awesome sculpture behind the alter (see picture, it’s worth it). The sculpture is one of the few to depict God (at the top) as a human and also had the apostles along with many other intricate workings and carvings.
