... while everyone insist that someone else should go first, the manners are engraved in us. But I think the Japanese have one upped us on this one. I keep getting into bowing wars insisting that the old lady should go first. But that lady won't give up with out a fight and ultimately wins by getting me to go through the door way before her with her sincere smile. Those sneaky ladies are just too polite.

During the meal we were kindly given a free dish, pickled cabbage in soy sauce with bonito flakes on top. We did not particularly like the dish but appreciated the kindness of the staff to provide the disk on the house.
