... clock tower is a beautiful site. After exploring and learning about the fortress we walked back down then through the tunnel. The history of this place truly blew us away. We stopped at a cafe for some drinks and people watching before freshening up at the hotel. Pete read somewhere that the Glockenturm ring its bells a couple of hundred times at 7am, 12pm and 7pm, so we were back out for some drinks by 7 to listen to the bells. The only bells we heard were the local bell tower, ...

It is blissfully quiet; and because of the busy last 4 days at the conference, I am very much appreciating that I am the only one on this car! ... down to check out and go and find the tram to get us to the train station. Fortunately, we got on the correct tram and got to the right train platform safely and remarkably easily.
There isn't much to say about the journey, other than that we sat on the train for just over 4 hours, snoozing and gazing out of the windows at the passing hills and towns, with some really lovely views ...

    ... so wrong?

The small, industrial towns are neat, clean and pollution free with typical Alpine houses. Even the most non-descript town is postcard pretty. All the towns have churches with narrow, tall steeples that can be seen from a great distance.

The people we have met have been, without exception polite and friendly. Everyone seems to have some English and willing to give it a try.

Speeds signs appear to be ...
