    After breakfast we decided to take a 2 hour boat cruise on the Douro River. Another wise choice! Stunning scenery - the vineyards seem to start at the waters edge and disappear up into the sky. A wine house on every corner. On disembarking we ventured into the village and bought some goodies for lunch.     I arrived in Coimbra yesterday afternoon. It's a small university town about halfway between Lisbon and Porto. After nearly dying climbing the steep hills and staircases with my pack (you think I'd be used to it by now) I arrived at my hostel surrounded by churches.
