... gave us courage to head back home....

We decide to go the roundabout way and take the Deviso! This is the longer route, just over seven kilometres. It is dark, stormy, foggy, we are full of game and firewater. We do not meet anyone heading back to the barn. This is good. The house is very pretty at night and the garden is glistening with the rain. I mentioned to Tony "it looks like it is glowing", he said " that's the firewater talking, get inside."

... absolutely wonderful! So Life Lesson 1 : sit still more often Everyone I've chatted with (tourist's) has been offered every drug under the sun, not me, not even once. I must give off the "I'm not fun enough for drugs" vibe well :) Other then that you're completely left alone by the local people. Shop owners and people selling things don't try to get your attention at all. They barely make eye contact when you're looking at there items. Interesting and awesome! ...

... it's a bit sad if a nice Cornetto is a highlight of our day, but they are just fantastic. The strawberry ones have REAL strawberries in them.

So our time in Estoril is now at an end. We would happily saty here for another week or two, Jean has already threatened to just stay, but the Old Dart calls out to us and so we must travel on.
