There were many pots of wheat grass, newly grown for the occasion and decorating the ornate altar. We saw this wheat grass with oranges as decorations at the nativity in Cachopo and at a Tavira exposition of nativity scenes at the Igreja (Church) da Misericórdia earlier in the week.
