As beautiful as ever and love the sculpture in the lobby. Now with the cherry blossom season, the flower arrangement reflects that. However, lobby is very noisy and bustling as the restaurant cafe is there with little seating for waiting guests. Full house we heard due to the Easter holiday and spring break.

      Great location and service

We spent four nights at the Peninsula. The location is excellent ... close to the metro and to the shops and restaurants of the Ginza corridor. The service was superb without being deferential or cloying. Loved the pool and particularly the "vitality pool" ... a great place to relax after a long day of sight-seeing. We did not try the restaurants or bars ... too many other options in the area. Expensive but worth the indulgence.

Our last day in Tokyo and of our holiday. We're all feeling a bit maudlin. The plan today was to visit the art museum about a block away from from us next to what the hop on hop off guide said was Japan's first western style theatre (Miss Saigon was on). So after breakfast, first stop - the Idemitsu Museum of Arts. There was an exhibition …

It was a very satisfying breakfast - Japanese for Sunil and me, 'Spa' breakfast for Vinodh (egg white omelette, cottage cheese, salad, fruit juice, coffee, bread basket, and more jams than necessary). The Japanese breakfast had rice, grilled salmon (delish!), and a variety of condiments (including egg roll and a dried fish thing which was yummy)... …

After a quick breakfast (wolfed down in 10 minutes at 6.30AM) at the Langham in Hong Kong, we cabbed it to the airport for our flight to Tokyo. Our cabbie this time was a kindly older gentleman who apologised for his English (which was actually fine) and drove quite sedately, and smoothly - our first such experience in a HK cab. Yet another queue …

Our very turbulent (no pun intended) trip from Bangkok, it was all compensated by an amazing 10 day stay in Japan with my favorite crazy Bali-Family: The Von Ruetis! Delia, her friend Idjuyn, Karina and even Sarah this time all decided to come over to join us, which was incredible. It can be summarized as 10 days of amazing food, sightseeing, …

... floor overlooking the Shibuya crosswalk, which is the busiest pedestrian junction in the world. Major people-watching opportunity. We had window seats and took our time. Have a look at the video attached.

We ate in the Outback this evening. It's like a taco place for Japanese food. You choose and place your orders by computer and the dishes arrive as they are prepared.
