The beautiful Peninsula/Sakura light up at Midtown

This is our second visit to the Peninsula Tokyo, a very elegant hotel in Ginza and right next to the Imperial Palace. Beautiful sculpture with dazzling ceiling light caught our eyes upon entry into the lobby. Very busy lobby as hotel cafe is located right there (traditional Peninsula afternoon tea from HK Pen) and school holiday brought full house …

The alarm was set for 5:45 but we woke a few minutes before that, as it was already becoming light. The morning was filled with the usual rush, last-minute packing, coffee, making sure Kyla had all of her medical supplies, feeding the pets. Gruden looked worried as usual when he saw the luggage being placed in the car. We said goodbye to the poor …

Angel and I arrived in Tokyo at 6:30am. After we slowly made our way out of the busy airport we caught a cab to take us to the Peninsula Hotel. The drive was 70mins and the price was 7,000 JPY. Once we arrived at the hotel. We trekked to our suite and fell asleep. The we took a cab to Shibuya 109, which is a shopping mall for teens. We spent 15, …

Proof is just handed out to you straight away. Tokyo as buzzing as it can be has shining district such as Shinjuku or 新宿。。but at the same time also places where to relax and meditate..such as the Meiji Shrine.

As beautiful as ever and love the sculpture in the lobby. Now with the cherry blossom season, the flower arrangement reflects that. However, lobby is very noisy and bustling as the restaurant cafe is there with little seating for waiting guests. Full house we heard due to the Easter holiday and spring break.

    Great location and service

We spent four nights at the Peninsula. The location is excellent ... close to the metro and to the shops and restaurants of the Ginza corridor. The service was superb without being deferential or cloying. Loved the pool and particularly the "vitality pool" ... a great place to relax after a long day of sight-seeing. We did not try the restaurants or bars ... too many other options in the area. Expensive but worth the indulgence.
